SKIP CITY INTERNATIONAL D-Cinema FESTIVAL2008

The 5th annual SKIP CITY INTERNATIONAL D-Cinema FESTIVAL 2008, taking place from Saturday July 19th to Sunday July 27th, 2008.
Feature and Short length works that have been shot and edited digitally, which can be screened in a digital format were gathered from Japan and abroad. (Deadline: March 10, 2008).

In the international feature length competition section, there were 693 submissions from 75 countries and regions; the nominated 12 works will be screened.
In the domestic short length competition section, 12 Japanese short works were selected from among 300 submissions.
At the Closing ceremony, certificates, trophies by the festival organizers and the SONY D-Cinema Award will be given to the winners.

Besides the competition sections, Gala screening, Special program and D-Content Market will be held during the festival.

All the movies will be presented using the latest 4K digital cinema projector, projected on a huge screen.
The guests are scheduled to be invited from around the world.
