Born 1969 in Tokyo, Sato founded Cinecook, an independent film production group while working as a chef. He also created Jillmotion, his own production company in 2007.

Born 1983 in Ishikawa, Fujimura studied screenwriting at Japan Academy of Moving Images. His script won Grand-prix at Screenplay Contest at Hakodate Harbor Illumination Film Festival in 2007.

Seven year old Sara's father is seriously ill and yet addicted to smoking. He begs Sarah to get him cigarettes and Sara complies only to please him and goes out on the town.

Shiozaki studied filmmaking and media science at San Jose State University. After returning to Japan in 2004, he joined 100 Meter Films. He has been working on various films including Starfish Hotel, Best Wishes for Tomorrow, and I Want to Be a Shellfish.

Three fatherless youngsters and a woman who runs a small restaurant; they are silly and clumsy, but likable characters. Today's dinner is beef stroganoff and it sure tastes good.

Takagi finds a TV channel with a peeped footage of a beautiful woman while on a business trip in Seoul. The more difficult his work situation becomes, the more obsessesed Takagi becomes with the footage.

Born 1982 in Osaka, Yoshii studied filmmaking at Graduate School of Film and Media, Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. His credits include Hanakojiki (2006) and Midorigawa (2008).

Chiharu works at a butcher shop, softening pork tenderloin for cutlet. A monotonous daily routine defies her existence. But she dreams colorful dreams with a rhythm of pounding meat, which eventually awakens something inside her.

Born 1974 in Kyoto, Inoue studied paintings at Musashino Art University. After working as a stagehand and an assistant for actors, she studied filmmaking at New Cinema Workshop. She has been working as an assistant director and a music video director.

Madoka once dreamt of becoming a singer, but she gave up her dream and doesn't want to be reminded of it. One day, she has a chance to have a conversation with another self form the past.

Kusakari works as a stage actor and he has been making films since 2005. His third film Touzoku Boogie won a Special Jury Prize at Yamaga International Movie Festival in 2007. He is currently working on a feature length film.

Yuko is a daughter of a mattress store and having problems with her boyfriend. An old woman orders a mattress using her own black long-sleeved kimono, but Yuko finds a picture hidden in the sleeve.
