Short Length Competition (Domestic)

Short Length Competition will focus on films produced in 2007 and 2008 by the next generation of Japanese film makers and compete for the Best Picture. This year, 12 films are nominated out of 300 submissions.
Jury President Masanobu Takashima and the members of "Citizens' Circle to Support SKIP CITY INTERNATIONAL D-Cinema FESTIVAL" will join him and present 3 awards at the Closing Ceremony.

Awards Details

Best Picture - Kawaguchi Citizen's Award

Certificate and trophy are given by the festival organizers.
Trophy and cash reward of 1,000,000 yen are given by the Citizens' Circle to Support SKIP CITY INTERNATIONAL D-Cinema FESTIVAL.

Honorable Mention - Kawaguchi Citizen's Award (two films)

Certificate and trophy are given by the festival organizers.
Trophy and cash reward of 500,000 yen each are given by the Citizens' Circle to Support SKIP CITY INTERNATIONAL D-Cinema FESTIVAL.
