Kyoko aspires to become a police dog trainer. She meets Kinako, a dog deemed physically too weak to become a police dog and decides to train the dog. However, Kinako repeatedly fails and Kyoko becomes disappointed in both Kinako and herself, leading to her decision of leaving the training house.
