Ressentiment

Masaki tries to ignore what might be the sign of domestic violence, a constant crying of a young girl next door. When he consults the welfare office to no avail, he finally decides to take an action on his own.

Takuma Dan

Born 1987. Since fifteen, Dan has wanted to be a filmmaker. He now works at a production company in order to become a filmmaker. His pet cat's name is Oscar.

A boy who has never seen the ocean finds a book with a letter from a girl living by the ocean. The boy decides to save the girl. But he must go through the dark tunnel that leads to the ocean.

Lisa Takeba

Born 1983, Takeba was awarded Best Newcomer at the Yokohama Visual Festival for her first short film, Hana no nodo no otoko no Hanashi (2008). Summer Book mobile (2009) is her second short. She served as a screenwriter on the Nintendo DS videogame, "Handsome X English In love with England", and writes novels for cell phone users. She has also worked as a publicity and distribution partner for the release of Kenka Koukou Gundan (2009).


Seppushi

Nobuhiko has been a ticket collector (seppushi) at train stations for 20 years. As the job is being taken over by machines, Nobuhiko's colleague are laid off and his position eventually becomes threatened.

Yoshiaki Takashima

Born 1983 in Kyoto, Takashima worked for two years at a major finance company, then left to attend the Vantan Design Institute, graduating in March 2010. His first short film, Seppushi (2010), won the Screenplay Award at the Hiroshima Visual Exhibition.
