A struggling actor, Temo ekes out a living as a delivery man in poverty-stricken Tbilisi, Georgia. Each day, he rides more than 100 kilometers through the city, encountering strangers and catching glimpses of a society still gripped by the past. With monochrome still photography and lyrical narration, the film presents an ambitious portrait of urban decay, political despair, and quiet disillusionment in Georgia. The story is adapted from “Courier’s Tales” by Temo Rekhviashvili, who also plays the lead role. Directed by photographer Anka Gujabidze, this debut work received the Tiger Short Award, the highest prize in the Tiger Short Competition at International Film Festival Rotterdam 2025, drawing international recognition.

Message
Temo Re is my first film, born from stillness black-and-white photographs, and the unsettling rhythm of a decaying city. As a photographer who long dreamed of filmmaking, I wanted to create a film where images breathe and time stretches. Although the budget was limited, Temo Re came to life through a deep love for the work and the support of close friends. It remains one of my most cherished creations.I am deeply honored to share it in Japan, a place that has long inspired me with its appreciation for the beauty of impermanence, silence, and shadow.
