SKIP CITY INTERNATIONAL D-Cinema FESTIVAL 2007
The 4th annual SKIP CITY INTERNATIONAL D-Cinema FESTIVAL 2007, taking place at SKIP City (Kawaguchi City, Saitama Prefecture) from Saturday July 14th to Sunday July 22nd, 2007.
Feature and Short length works that have been shot and edited digitally, which can be screened in a digital format were gathered from Japan and abroad. (Deadline: March 16, 2007). In the international feature length competition section, there were 433 submissions from 69 countries and regions; the nominated 12 works will be screened.
In the domestic short length competition section, 11 Japanese short works were selected from among 328 submissions.
At the awarding ceremony, certificates, trophies by the festival organizers and the SONY D-Cinema Award will be given to the winners.
Besides the competition sections, Premiere screening, Special program, Special screening, Symposium and D-Content Market will be held during the festival.
Especially, we will present you two "CINEMA-KABUKI", "CAMERA CRAYON" - digital cinema shot by the youths in the world and 4 short movies from 2007 Lisbon Village D-Cinema Festival as special programs.
All the movies will be presented using the latest 4K digital cinema projector, projected on a huge screen.
The guests are scheduled to be invited from around the world.
