Director/Fukutaro Sato

Born 1969, Sato used to work as a chef. His last short film She Who Bore Me screened at SKIP CITY INTERNATIONAL D-Cinema FESTIVAL in 2008 and other festivals. In 2010, he established Jill Motion, a production company producing commercials and corporate videos. He plans to direct his new film Yorudakara this year.

Nomura is a member of a baseball team. Yasuda, an alumnus of the team, informs him that Shimada, a legendary former pitcher, has become homeless and now lives by the riverbank nearby and wants him to throw a pitch. An off-beat coming-ofage sports drama.

Director/Tetsuhiko Tsuchiya

Born 1978, Tsuchiya has worked at a commercial production company, and then became a freelance assistant director. He directs music videos and corporate videos. His directorial credits include Nashi no hana wa haru no yuki, Ai no ryutsu senta, and Mata itsuka natsuni.

A popular novelist dies and three brothers of the family gather at home. In Shady Family, their father’s novel based on the family relationship, has caused resentment and they had not been in touch. As they go through the mementos, they discover a side of their father they never knew.

Director/Akira Yamamoto

Yamamoto started his career in TV production, then became an assistant director for V cinema (straight to video) and other productions. In 2007, he made his directorial debut with Hana tenshi no ningyo. In 2010, The Story That Disappeared on the Earth, a 3D full CG animated music video won the Best Prize in Visual Art category at the Society for Art and Science. He directs music videos and art related promotional videos.
