Dumped by the same man, Tamami and Juno set out to visit well-known spiritual spots to turn their fortunes around. During the trip, they meet Ichinose, a writer of romance novels and they embark on a “love affair” of sorts, which eventually puts them in a peculiar situation.

Director／Shingo Matsumura
Born in Saitama, Matsumura directed several independent films while working as a staff on various sets. His short Haru no soko opened theatrically in Tokyo and his first feature film Taiyo ga kirai won the special prize at the 9th Tama New Wave. His medium length film Katasumide Yahhou screened at the 31st Pia Film Festival. In 2010, he enrolled in Waseda University Graduate School of Global Information and Telecommunication Studies and graduated in 2012. Striking Out in Love is his thesis film project.
